Below are meetings we’ve been told about that have been organized by union members, in different spaces and with differing perspectives, to discuss the issues raised by divestment and the member referendum to be held December 2–13. We will update this list with other events as we’re notified about them through the end of the voting period.
- Monday, December 2, 12–3 p.m. – In-person workshop on “Palestine Is a Labor Issue,” at Brower Commons, 125 College Ave., New Brunswick. Organized by Faculty for Justice in Palestine and RU4Palestine.
- Monday, December 2, 3:30–5 p.m. – Author Ta-Nehisi Coates speaking on his book The Message, in conversation with Professor Noura Erakat, presented by the Department of Africana Studies. Click here for more info.

- Wednesday, December 4, 12:15–1.30 p.m. – Francesca Albanese, the UN Special Rapporteur on the Occupied Palestinian Territories, giving a virtual lecture on “Gaza, Genocide, and International Law.” Organized by the Rutgers Center for Security, Race, and Rights. Click here for more info.
- Wednesday, December 4, 2 p.m. – “A Conversation on Israeli Universities and BDS,” with Maya Wind, a scholar of Israeli expertise and militarism at the University of British Columbia. Organized by Faculty for Justice in Palestine. Click here for more info.
