Yesterday, the Trump administration announced an ill-defined blanket freeze on ALL federal grant funding, no matter the recipients or the objectives of the grant. This puts nearly $600 million in federal funding for Rutgers at risk! The blanket freeze comes after unprecedented restrictions imposed last week on the National Institutes of Health.
Delays in federal grant funding will cost lives! The Trump administration is blocking life-saving research on cancer, diabetes, avian flu, and so much more—all to score political points for his agenda.
Please come to an emergency union meeting about Trump’s research and funding cuts TOMORROW (Wednesday, January 29) at 6 p.m. Click here to register for the Zoom link—then tell your colleagues about this meeting and ask them to attend! We need to share information about the impact and scope of this assault on our work—and discuss what we can do to confront it. We need to hear from you!
