Voting in Union Elections Has Begun

June 8, 2021

Dear colleague,

Voting gets underway today in our elections for union leadership positions. You will be receiving your ballot shortly, via an email from Election Runner. You have until 4 p.m. on Tuesday, June 15, to vote.

Elections are important in shaping the direction of our union, so we hope you will take the time to vote. Please discuss your choices with your colleagues. You can click here to read the campaign statements of all the candidates running in this election. If you want to read a summary of the positions and their responsibilities, click here. You can also read our newly revised bylaws by clicking here.

Our committee would like to extend thanks to the leaders who are finishing their term of office for their strong service to our members during these past two years. We would also like to thank those who are stepping forward as candidates to serve in union positions for the next two years.

Look for an email from Election Runner that contains your ballot. You can vote electronically over the next week. If you have any questions regarding receipt of the ballot (look in your spam folder first if you don’t see it in your inbox) or the balloting process, please contact the union office at aaup@rutgersaaup.org. Please vote by 4 p.m. on Tuesday, June 15, when balloting will end. The results will be announced soon afterwards.

In solidarity,
Committee on Nominations and Elections
Will Brucher, New Brunswick Representative
Travis DuBose, Camden Representative
Whitney Strub, Newark Representative
