Rutgers University and the Rutgers Council of AAUP Chapters, American Association of University Professors–American Federation of Teachers, AFL-CIO (“AAUP-AFT”) have reached an agreement to implement a revised comprehensive salary equity program for AAUP-AFT faculty members on all Rutgers campuses. The new process reflects a shared and ongoing commitment by the University and the AAUP-AFT to address salary equity concerns, and both the AAUP-AFT and the University expect that the salary equity program and ongoing collaborative efforts focused on salary equity, as part of this agreement, will augment efforts to recruit, retain, and develop talented and diverse faculty that is essential to the University’s academic mission. Additional information about the revised salary equity program is posted on the website for the Office of University Labor Relations, in the section containing “Faculty and Academic Collective Negotiations Agreements,” under “AAUP-AFT Collective Negotiations Agreement.”
