Membership Application and Dues Deduction Authorization
I, undersigned, hereby apply for membership in the Rutgers Council of AAUP Chapters, and I authorize the Rutgers Council of AAUP-AFT Chapters – EOF to be my exclusive representative for the purpose of collective negotiations in a negotiations unit with EOF counselors. My membership shall remain in effect unless terminated by termination of employment or by me upon written notice of withdrawal. Withdrawal shall be effective on the following July 1 after written notice is received.
Concurrently, I, undersigned, also hereby authorize Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, to deduct from my earnings an amount as shall be certified by the Rutgers Council of AAUP Chapters. The biweekly amount deducted shall be paid to the Rutgers Council of AAUP Chapters. This authorization shall remain in effect until termination of employment or by written notice of withdrawal as stipulated above. I understand that no dues will be deducted until I am officially recognized as a Union member and covered by a Union contract.
