Councilman Solomon has a proven track record of supporting affordable development in his city and the rights of tenants. He has built an impressive grassroots campaign focused on making Jersey City an affordable home for working class people, fighting corruption, and protecting all its residents from the agressive actions of the Trump administration. His housing, education, and transportation plans put people first, not developers. He has committed to working with the state government to address the funding needs of higher education in his city. He has pledged to use every tool available to ensure that Jersey City remains a sanctuary city, refuses cooperation with ICE, and funds the city’s legal support and resources for immigrants.
