Dear colleague,
One of our most important meetings of the semester is coming up on Monday, February 28, at 6 p.m.: our “What Are We Fighting For? Contract Campaign Town Hall” (click here to RSVP). We need to hear from everyone our union represents as we decide on the demands that are most important to us and prepare to fight for them when we bargain a new contract with the administration.
In November and early December, we asked you to complete a survey about the issues and challenges we’ll face during this contract campaign, and nearly 2,000 of you responded. We’ll report on what that survey tells us, and we’ll review what our union has been doing so far on issues that are critical to you: health and safety, raises, salary equity, fair treatment for all of Rutgers’ campuses, and more. We’ve made some progress, but we have many battles ahead before we’ll get the contract we deserve.
Come to our ”What R We Fighting For?” town hall meeting on Monday, February 28, at 6 p.m. (click here to RSVP). Please spread the word to your colleagues; click here to download graphics to put in emails and post online and an 8.5″x11″ flier for your office door.
In solidarity,
Becky and Todd
