Newark Grad workers! Join us Tuesday, April 29, 4-6 pm in Conklin 245 for a gathering before the semester ends to share about issues facing Newark grads, learn about how to get further involved in the union, and start collectively thinking through our contract demands! Food will be served!
Join your union colleagues this summer to study, discuss, and socialize together, as we read sections from Jane McAlevey and Abby Lawlor’s Rules to Win By: Power and Participation in Union Negotiations. This second session is in-person in Newark—all in-person sessions will have the same content, but they are being held separately so all campuses have access. Our Newark members will march in the annual Martin Luther King March of Resistance. We want to demonstrate our commitment to the ideals of the civil rights movement—and protest against the unjust and undemocratic policies of the Trump administration. Click for more info.
Join URA for a lunch time rally and march on Wednesday, February 4, 2026, beginning at 12:30 PM at the Norman Samuels Plaza and marching at 1:00 PM to the Center for Law and Justice (123 Washington St) to tell Newark Chancellor Tonya Smith-Jackson that FLEX Works! and the staff contract must be followed.
