Our contract is set to expire at the end of this month, but management has yet to respond substantively to the majority of our demands, so it’s time for us to get organized as a union.
That means that we need all member-leaders (that’s you!) to be holding on-on-one directed organizing conversations with as many of your colleagues as possible to get them ready to act if our contract is not settled on time (as it seems this will not likely happen).
To get folks ready for such conversations, we’re hosting organizing conversation training sessions throughout the summer. You can register for it or any of the future sessions below. We’ll cover the basics of a structured organizing conversation so that you can feel comfortable making asks of your colleagues (e.g. joining the union, signing the bargaining demands petition, participating in an action) and responding to questions that may arise.
