Campaign Statements – EOF Counselors

Vice President for EOF Counselors

Shornna Berkeley
Senior Counselor, SAS EOF

Mrs. Berkeley earned a Master’s degree in Counseling Psychology from the Rutgers Graduate School of Education. While working at Rutgers as counselor for the New Jersey Educational Opportunity Fund (EOF) Program, she has dedicated her career to the service of students as well as ensuring that her fellow EOF counselors are treated fairly and with respect of the position they uphold serving the EOF population. With this in mind, she has continued to work with the union as a member of EC as well as on negotiation teams and labor management meetings. She has assisted in advocating for the EOF program with both university management and NJ state representatives and has done so for over 10 years.

Executive Council Representative for EOF Counselors (one open seat)

Edrice Robinson-Wyatt
Senior Counselor, SEBS-Educational Opportunity Fund

As a first-generation college student, I understand and value the support students need when attending college. Support is provided not only through academic advising, but also through connections with students to help them process the many decisions and sacrifices they must make to succeed as our future leaders. This is what EOF provides to our scholars. As a candidate for the EOF Counselor Executive Council Representative, I believe my experiences as a senior counselor within the School of Environmental & Biological Sciences since 2015, have prepared me to represent our unit at the next level.  EOF counselors across the Rutgers system are committed to our students and deserve to be heard. I hope that if elected, I can help share their voices and continue the work necessary for everyone to succeed.
