Part-Time Lecturers bargaining team has reached a tentative agreement with RU management. Full union members voted in the ratification process that ended on December 1, 2015.
On November 11, 2015, President Teresa Politano wrote to PTL members:
The PTLFC Executive Board met this past Saturday to review the full agreement and now recommends it for your approval. Below is a summary of the tentative agreement that you can vote on until 4:00pm on December 1, 2015. You should receive shortly an electronic ballot via an email from us using the Survey Monkey platform.
Once the agreement is approved by the membership, we will work with the administration to implement the salary increases, the professional development fund, and other terms of the agreement.
While we didn't achieve everything we set out to win in this round of bargaining, we did make some significant advances. The new Committee on Performance Evaluations & Career Advancement is an opportunity between negotiations to develop a real career path for PTLs that recognizes our contributions and rewards us for service to our students and the university.
