Implementation of the new Agreement for full-time faculty (i.e., tenured, tenure-track, and non-tenure track faculty) is underway.
Across-the-board increases have recently been applied to annual base salaries of faculty in May 2015. The $2,345 increase to base salaries was applied, going forward, on May 8, 2015. This base salary increase is retroactive to September 1, 2014 and the May 22 check should have also included an amount of $1,617.24 reflecting the increase retroactive to this date. Full-time faculty are encouraged to "Check your Check" to be certain that your increase was appropriately applied:
- $2,345 applied to annual base salary starting May 8, 2015 ($90.19 per pay period).
- Retroactivity for this increase from September 1, 2014 to May 8, 2015 resulted in a lump sum payment of $1,617.24 which appeared in May 22 checks [note that this amount could be different if the faculty member was on paid/unpaid leave during the retro period]. The amount of the retroactive increase is calculated as follows: Annual increase of $2,345 divided by annual work days (261), equals $8.98 per day, multiplied by number of work days during period of retroactivity (180), equals $1,617.24.

The union will keep faculty posted as the Faculty Compensation Program for 2015-16 gets underway with eligible faculty considered for merit increases effective (retroactively) to July 1, 2015.
