Camden action: #SanctuaryCampus Nov 16 at 3pm, too!

Submitted by Staff on Tue, 11/15/2016 - 17:41

Patrice Mareschal, Camden Chapter president, also sends out word to all union members on her campus that Camden has action plan, too!

Hello all,

By now you have probably heard about the calls to make Rutgers a sanctuary university. Rallies are being planned for tomorrow, Wednesday, November 16, 2016, at 3:00 pm.

Given that Camden is already known as a sanctuary city, I would like to encourage all members of the Camden campus to participate. Please join us in front of the Rutgers Camden Campus Center, by the Walt Whitman statue for a rally tomorrow (Wednesday, November 16) at 3:00 pm. All faculty at every rank who are part of the Rutgers AAUP-AFT are encouraged to get involved.

I apologize for the short notice. This is an organic movement and the details developed rather quickly. I invite you to share this message with your colleagues and students. Also, please make your own signs/posters for the event.

In solidarity,
Patrice Mareschal
President, Camden Chapter, Rutgers AAUP-AFT
