Dear colleague,
We’re writing to union members who live in the New Brunswick area to invite you to the annual Workers Memorial Day Rally and March sponsored by our community allies in New Labor. The rally and march is this Sunday, April 28, from 1–3 p.m., starting from New Labor’s office at 55 Paterson Street in New Brunswick. Click here to RSVP.
As New Labor writes, the march is held each year to “remember those who have died in the workplace and ‘fight like hell for the living.’ We often hear testimony from families who have lost loved ones in a New Jersey workplace and listen to community leaders about possible law reforms and activities that could prevent this from happening to other workers. This year, we will also hear testimony from RWJ Nurses about their recent strike.”
We hope some of you have the time to rally and march this weekend with our New Labor allies—click here to RSVP if you can make it. You can click these links to download a flier to share with colleagues and friends—in English or in Spanish.
In solidarity,
