Itzamarie Chevere-Torres, Ph.D., Postdoctoral Fellow, Rutgers U.  & Cheeky Scientist Associate

Most scientists shy away from the word “Networking,” yet we use it to be effective researchers.  How can you use Networking Strategies to succeed as a Postdoctoral Fellow or Postdoctoral Associate--and as you search for jobs?  Come learn some Networking Strategies to help you further your research and to plan your job search.  What should you consider as you develop your on-line presence?  Which web sites post the most academic jobs or industry jobs?  What do employers look for when they visit on-line sites?  What words should you include to get noticed?  How can you help recruiters find you? Our speakers include a former Rutgers-RWJMS Ph.D. student who found her current job through her LinkedIn web site and in collaboration with a recruiter, and Rutgers-RWJMS postdoctoral fellow (and active PDA Member) who has obtained training in how to use LinkedIn and other Networking skills of importance to Postdocs.

A light lunch will be provided.
