Time 12 noon - 1:30PM
Dean's Conference Room, Robert Wood Johnson Medical School (RWJMS) Research Tower, 675 Hoes Lane West, Piscataway, NJ 08854-5627

Topic: Managing your time: advice from faculty and postdocs

Speakers:

Dr. Monica Driscoll, Professor, Rutgers University
Dr. Huaye Zhang, Assistant Professor, RWJMS
Dr. Stephen Shannon, Postdoctoral fellow, RWJMS

Our panel consists of a senior professor, a junior faculty member, and a senior postdoc. What tricks do they use to balance all the competing demands on their time including research, teaching, and service, while still making time for their families and friends? What advice do they wish they had received when they first started their postdoc or junior faculty positions? What are some hidden time-traps you need to look out for? What are some time-savers you may be able to adapt easily? Bring your time management questions and suggestions to this month's luncheon.

A light lunch will be provided
