The Koch brothers (Charles and David) may have provided the money, Professor MacLean has commented about her new book, but James M. Buchanan, the founder of the Virginia School of Political Economy and winner of the 1986 Nobel Prize in Economics, “supplied the ideas that made the money effective.”
